I may operate a Spiritual Weaving Business (I finally have come to terms with what *I* do! but that’s a story for a different day) but my own practice has really been lacking. I have let myself become overwhelmed with “reality” that I tend to neglect what I need to stay connected to my inner divine being.
I began incorperating back into my practice a daily tarot card/spread and it has taught me a few things:
I really NEED to have this time for myself.
IF my kids happen to be awake, they are to the age where they CAN be left alone while I spend 5 minutes doing my daily ritual.
My daily ritual doesn’t need to be elaborate.
A short amount of time can truly pack a punch.
Be ready for ANY card to come out. Including the ten of swords, the tower, and the seven of swords. (luckily not all in one spread)
Connecting with our inner divine being in our daily practices are incredibly important to our innner peace. However, if you’re anything like me starting, something “new” may seem overwhelming. Here are my suggestions:
Start out with something small! It can be literally 2 minutes doing ANYTHING
Sometimes you need to get back to basics - drinking your water, brushing your teeth, even flossing.
It doesn’t have to look like someone else’s journey. Maybe you set out whole rituals surrounding a bath. Or maybe you just draw a bath and be done.
You can start and restart at any time - you don’t get a reward at how long it lasts
These small practices will allow you to release judgement.
I hope you are able to find 3 minutes today to breathe, pull a card, sip your coffee. Something that FILLS your cup!
